New Uber Chic Boutique Hotel and Bar on Seven Mile Beach Is A Dream

The new Aqua Negril Resort on Negril's Seven Mile Beach oozes sophistication with its luxury home feel, an outdoor jacuzzi overlooking the beach and a champagne bar.

If having a prosecco or champagne cocktail on the beach at sunset while swaying to melodious reggae or zouk music sounds like a dream, then one will have found it in Aqua Negril's bar. The hotel portion itself, slated to open in January, can't go unnoticed. Undoubtedly the most uber-chic boutique resort to hit Negril's Seven Mile Beach this year, Aqua Negril promises to soon rise to the famous likes of the Rockhouse Hotel.

Catering to an exclusive crowd, particularly with rooms ranging between $375 and $600 a night, the resort is nothing short of breathtaking intricate detail and luxury. Walking through the gates, one almost thinks to have arrived at the home of a celebrity. A long walkway flanked by a lush garden leads to the main "house." And indeed, Aqua Negril is shaped like a mansion, with rooms both on the bottom and top floors, at a good distance one from the other. Each oozes sophistication: dark wood four-poster king beds, handmade wood closets and paneling, spacious bathrooms with glass showers and stand-alone bathroom sinks that makes one feel as if one is staying in a suite at the Bellagio Hotel in Vegas.

The upstairs rooms have the advantage of a large outdoor deck overlooking the beach. The deck extends 360 degrees around the entire top floor of the house, and leads to an outdoor Jacuzzi - with curtains selectively draped around the massive square tub, overlooking the beach.

Hailing from Trinidad and Jamaica, the owners of the resort - a delightful and well-traveled couple - have lent their exquisite taste to each room and aspect of their resort. Every effort has been made to infuse Jamaican culture and craftsmanship into the design of the house, and this goes from displays of paintings and carvings from famous Jamaican artists to handmade Jamaican-wood chairs, sofas and ceiling fans.

In the center of the house is what you would find in any fabulous two-story home: a spacious living room with a "loft" space feel, where you can relax and enjoy the view of the beach through French doors.

As sophisticated as their new boutique resort is, the owners of Aqua are possibly the most genuine couple one can meet. Visitors can expect to be treated like guests, even if just having a cocktail at the bar.

The rooms are slated be available starting in the next two weeks, upon completion of the outdoor jaccuzi and in time for the start of the new year.

From the mansion-feel to the jacuzzi overlooking Negril Beach's famous sunsets and delicious champagne cocktails at the bar, Aqua Negril is sure to become a favorite haven for those travelers with a discerning world taste.
