Built in the shape of a mobile home and standing on its own stretch of sand, Canoe Beach Bar is a favorite stop in Negril for locals and tourists alike. The road Canoe sits on - West End Road, is dubbed "the best end" for being the more "Jamaican" side of Negril. It also runs along Negril's beautiful cliff and seaside. While still catering to tourists, as does the beach area of Negril, the West End area is more frequented by locals and reflects the more authentic Jamaican experience, with Jamaican-owned bars, mom and pop shops and restaurants. From one end to the other, West End Road - also called "One Love Drive" - is chock full of businesses affordable treats, be it alcohol, food or shopping, and all within a short distance from the other, making it easy to hop around from place to place.

As if that's not sufficient, Canoe offers a delectable menu for both lunch and dinner, from grilled snapper with vegetables and a potato salad, to tuna melt sandwiches and burgers. For those looking for a break from Jamaican fare, it's the ideal spot and affordable at that (at only about $15 or JA $1,050 for a full meal and a drink or two if it's during happy hour). Desserts are also n the menu, including a pineapple chill that is to die for.

A Perfect Getaway For The Day or Evening

With high speed wireless internet and numerous electrical outlets to accommodate users, it's indeed very hard to leave Canoe once you settle in.
