The road Canoe sits on - West End Road, is dubbed "the best end" for being the more "Jamaican" side of Negril. It also runs along Negril's beautiful cliff and seaside. While still catering to tourists, as does the beach area of Negril, the West End area is more frequented by locals and reflects the more authentic Jamaican experience, with Jamaican-owned bars, mom and pop shops and restaurants.
